ADVOJUST was founded to help the insurance market to effectively handle liability insurance claims relating to German and Turkish speaking countries. We are best placed to investigate liability insurance claims, understand and interpret local legal frameworks, communicate directly with all parties involved, provide our clients with informative findings and reach agreement between the parties, leading to a reliable and cost-effective solution for our clients, globally.

Founder
ADVOJUST LTD (UK), ADVOJUST (Germany) and ADVERISK LTD STI (Türkiye) were founded by Mahir Hamurcu, a German-Turkish dual qualified Lawyer, Loss Adjuster, Chartered Insurance Practitioner (ACII), Chartered Linguist (CL) and trained Mediator. He has achieved the Diploma level of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (DipCILA) and is studying towards Chartered Status (ACILA). He also holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in International Business Law, was awarded a Professional Certificate in Risk Management Banking and Finance as well as completed a short MBA course. Following experience in Hamburg, Istanbul, Paris and New York, he had the privilege to work in the London re-/insurance market at a specialist firm with responsibility for international liability insurance claims and a leading insurance claims services provider where he developed extensive experience in complex assignments. With over 15 years of experience, he has established a track record in high-profile market losses and continues to be actively involved in major international liability insurance claims, including nominations on multiple accounts.

Our aim is to add value and contribute through specialist knowledge and cultural understanding, and expand through organic growth to meet our clients’ demands. Handling long-tail liability insurance claims with increasing complexity, we think and plan ahead and have the flexibility to adapt to our clients’ changing needs and requirements. In addition to ADVOJUST LTD (UK), services can be provided through ADVOJUST (Germany) and ADVERISK LTD STI (Türkiye). Where our clients require us to act as a German lawyer (Rechtsanwalt), we can engage ADVOJUST (Germany) as law firm to conduct activities accordingly and advise on European law including German law as well as Turkish law. Through ADVERISK LTD STI (Türkiye), we ensure that additional local support and capacity is available to meet increased demand of our clients and to ensure the same level of quality and effectiveness at all times, and are also able to provide risk management related services. If required, we are in a position to add further capacity at short notice and on an ad hoc basis, allowing us to respond to insurance claims arising out of catastrophe events.
Collaboration
We welcome collaboration and work with professional service providers of different sizes to respond to our clients’ requirements in an increasingly complex environment. Our extended team forensic engineering and risk management enables us to take immediate action when required. Forensic engineering plays a critical role in identifying the root cause of mechanical or electrical failures, assessing contributing factors and determining responsible parties. The risk management services focus on the identification and assessment of vulnerabilities, supporting clients in eliminating, reducing and controlling technical, operational and legal risks. The support from our own extended professional network includes second-opinion reviews on technical matters and detailed engineering assessments within the scope of our investigations. Specialist lawyers including barristers who support both our clients and us, when highly specialised legal advice or litigation defence is required, are also available, protecting the interests of our clients and their policyholders at all stages of the claims process.
